Percentage Alarms Configuration

Percentage change alarms are triggered when the latest data value falls outside the average from either the last 24-hour or 7 day period. The % changes can be positive or negative. The process is all about analysing the average data for the last 24 hours or 7 days then comparing the current value against this to see if there has been a % change increase, which breaches a set level. The process is driven when the last value field on the database is changed.

These changes give rise to custom alarm states depending on the breach. For example: 7day % age Change (Alert), 24hr % age Change (Alert), 7day % age Change (Alarm), and 24hr % age Change (Alarm).

Once an alarm is triggered above or below the percentage right after an alarm, the process will still analyse the data from the last 24 hr period (if the 24 hr period was selected) before the first alarm was triggered.

Configuration

To enable configuration, check the enable box for either the 24hr Average or the 7 day average, or check both boxes.

Enter a percentage value in either of 24hr or 7 day text fields for Alert and/or Alarm.

This will then check whether the alarm is above the percentage of the 24 hr or 7 day average. If it is within the average, then the alarm trigger will not be activated.

Check the + and - box to check if the percentage will be above or below the percentage over 24 hrs or 7 days.

Values can be copied from one point to across all points by using the Copy TO All button.
